Precious Essentials provides clothing, coats, shoes, toiletries, home goods and other essentials to children and their families struggling with poverty or emergency situations through our Resource Center and Boutiques.
How does it work?
Agencies such as social services, nonprofits, shelters, fire and police departments, schools, and churches refer children in need to our organization. A Precious Child partners with over 261 agency partners in this process. Once clients receive their referral, they are able to shop at our Resource Center. Clients are assigned a personal shopper to take them through the Resource Center, which is set up like a retail store. They "shop" for clothing items and other essentials, all provided at no charge. Approved agencies are also welcome to shop at our resource center directly on an as needed basis. In 2015, A Precious Child served more than 33,588 children from eight counties throughout the Denver Metro area.
How can I help?
We rely 100% on your donations to provide this service to children and families in need. We request that items donated are in good condition and clean.
We accept the following items:
- Gently-used or new clothing (all types and sizes)
- Coats (all types and sizes)
- Shoes (all types and sizes)
- New bags of underwear and socks (all sizes)
- Hygiene products – dental products, makeup, shampoo, soap, etc.
- Home goods – kitchenware, linens, furniture, etc. (accepted on an as needed basis)
Where do I drop off Donations?
Drop off items at our Resource Center - 557 Burbank Street, Unit E, Broomfield, CO 80020
Hours: Monday - Friday between 9:00am-5:00pm OR you can utilize our 24 Hour Drop-off bin anytime.
