Precious Boutiques are small satellite clothing banks set up in schools and shelters that make new and gently-used clothing accessible to children on an everyday basis.
How does it work?
Through A Precious Child's main clothing bank, we stock schools and shelters with age appropriate clothing. Teachers and counselors who see the children on a regular basis and know their direct needs have access to the boutiques. They are then able to give disadvantaged children at their schools clothing and shoes. A volunteer liaison is responsible for keeping the Precious Boutique stocked with a variety of clothes in different sizes. Our goal is to keep children's minds and focus on school work and not have them worry about what they are wearing.
How you can help:
- Host a clothing drive
- Volunteer to be a liaison
We are in need of the following items:
- Khakis (pants, dresses, etc.) white, navy blue, green, and black polo shirts
- School appropriate clothing
- Closed toe shoes
During the winter we accept the following items:
- Winter coats

- Long sleeve shirts
Drop off items at one of our A Precious Child Donation Centers:

As of 2013, we have a total of 20 Precious Boutiques in local schools.
- "Because of what APC offers our families, kids can come to school ready to think and learn and focus rather than worrying about not being able to play outside because they don't have a coat. Kids know they are safe and taken care of. Thank you, APC, for meeting the needs of so many." Brooke Lindquist, Counselor at Birch Elementary School
