A Precious Child, Inc. is in daily operations and programming by Carina Martin, Executive Director and Founder. Carina has created and designed programs that will offer significant support to children in Colorado and around the world. As a mother, she has a deep love and appreciation for all children and believes that every child is precious. Carina attended Western Washington University where she studied Business Management. She then proceeded to work in the retail management industry for 14 years. Eventually, she grew to own and operate a fine jewelry business in addition to owning and managing numerous real estate rentals. 

For many years, Carina and her husband, Sam, have actively supported and participated in a range of charities. Currently, she and Sam sponsor 17 children in Thailand and Kenya. Carina has a heart for service and has spent the last six years devoted to volunteering and doing service work in her community. In addition, she maintains continuous involvement in her son’s school. As a volunteer, she has helped run charity golf tournaments, fundraising events, and has been involved in program development. She has also been an assistant director, assistant casting director, and location scout for a non-profit that helps children who have lost a loved one due to Aids. In 2008, Carina went on a mission trip to Thailand and worked in four orphanages and a school.  Carina is a mother, a manager, and an entrepreneur; but most of all she is a woman who has a deep love and appreciation for all children.

She hopes that A Precious Child, Inc. will blossom into an organization that will positively impact the lives of thousands of children. As a result of her positive attitude, generous heart, and loving nature, Carina has inspired those around her to engage in service and little by little the support for A Precious Child grows.
